Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Torque Teardown. Please read them with our privacy notice and disclaimer. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.
Who we are
Torque Teardown is run by Torque Teardown, a sole trader. Contact: TorqueTeardown@gmail.com.
Free and Pro
Anyone can use the free version. Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks extra features: Mods, Tune (remap checker), fault Codes and My Garage, including your own prices and part numbers and MOT history lookups by registration.
We may improve, change or retire features over time. If we remove a major Pro feature, we’ll tell you and you can cancel. Pro then stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Prices and payment
- Pro costs £6.49 per month. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- Payment is taken by Stripe when you subscribe, then automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first.
- If a payment fails, Pro features may be paused until it’s sorted.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time by emailing us. Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then won’t renew. We don’t refund part-used periods, but this doesn’t affect your legal rights below.
Your 14-day right to cancel
Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you normally have 14 days from the day you first subscribe to change your mind and get a refund.
Because Pro is digital content you can use straight away, when you subscribe we ask you to agree that Pro starts immediately and to confirm you understand that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it starts. We confirm this in your receipt email. You can still cancel at any time to stop future payments, but we don’t refund payments already made, apart from where the law says we must (for example if Pro is faulty or not as described).
If something is wrong with Pro, contact us at TorqueTeardown@gmail.com and we’ll put it right.
Your account
- Keep your login details safe and don’t share your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You’re responsible for the information you add, such as cars, registrations, prices and notes.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- break the law, or use the site to harm anyone
- look up registrations for vehicles you have no good reason to check, or use MOT data to track or harass people
- copy, scrape or resell our content, 3D models or data in bulk
- try to get round the Pro paywall, break the site’s security, or overload it with automated requests
- upload anything offensive, or that you don’t have the right to share
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where it’s fair to do so, we’ll warn you first.
Our content
The site, its design and our written content belong to us or the people who license them to us. Some 3D models are made by others and used under Creative Commons licences – see credits. You can use Torque Teardown for your own personal use.
Accuracy of information
We work hard to get things right, but car data is complicated and changes. Specs, part numbers, power and torque figures, tuner claims and prices may be wrong, out of date or not suit your exact car. Some aftermarket part numbers and tuner figures have not been checked by us. MOT data comes from the DVSA and we can’t guarantee it. Please read the disclaimer before relying on anything here.
The site is provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
